QB3 is an 857 TeraFlop peak performance cluster with 9,696 CPU cores, comprised of 202 compute nodes connected by 100 Gbps Infiniband fabric:
- 192 regular nodes: two 24-core Intel Cascade Lake CPUs, 192 GB RAM
- 8 GPU nodes: two 24-core Intel Cascade Lake CPUs, 192 GB RAM, two NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs
- 2 bigmem nodes: two 24-core Intel Cascade Lake CPUs, 1.5 TB RAM
We are excited to announce that the LONI QB3 cluster will be in full production on Oct 1, 2020. We would like to extend our thanks to those of you who helped us test the cluster during the friendly user mode.
To help you get up to speed on QB3, we will have a one-day launch workshop on Oct 1, 2020, due to concern about Covid-19, the workshop will be in an online virtual form via Zoom. Below is the schedule:
