Zach is a Baton Rouge native with more than 10 years of experience with scientific computing and HPC. He studied astrophysical fluid dynamics in his graduate work with Dr. Joel Tohline. Starting in 2014, Zach worked as a Postdoc for Dr. Hartmut Kaiser on the STORM Project, an NSF-funded effort to utilize next generation HPC methods to improve hurricane storm surge forecasting. Zach joined HPC @ LSU in 2019.
